DESTINY AND DIET

I was asked a question the other day from a fellow missionary about the Bible reference related to the length of our days as promised by God.  Through the "still small voice" of the Holy Spirit, God impressed upon me that my health is directly related to my ability to accomplish my God-given destiny.

Fulfilling God's destiny for my life is a consistent daily prayer and the passion of my heart. Therefore, I have been seeking to make some changes to my personal diet, exercise schedule and overall lifestyle.  I will make some tuff choices about what I eat, how much I exercise and the rest I get.

It is not enough to believe God has a promised destiny for my life.  I have a stewardship responsibility to fulfill my destiny with the "temple" He has given me.  Therefore, I do not want to short circuit my destiny because I allow myself to indulge in those things that I like.

Listen to what Jesus said, "My meat (food) is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to accomplish His work." (John 4:34).  If you read the whole passage, you will see that it is all about the Harvest.  Therefore, what we eat and how we live is connected to our ability to accomplishing the work that God has given us to do in His harvest.

Today, let the "meat" of Jesus become your "meat", too!
