I watched with great interest the new CBS reality show, entitled Kid Nation, last night. I was in awe of what God was saying to me through this medium. I have beleived for years that God has been seeking to use the media to speak prophetically to the Church of Jesus Christ. I can’t just watch something for its entertainment value when God is speaking.
What happens in the natural is an indicator of what is happening in the spiritual. There have been many times in the past either through movies or TV shows that God has used the titles or plot to reveal His moving. Can you think of a few movies or TV shows that comes to your mind?
Specifically, Kid Nation is a show that reveals how 40 kids from all over the United States are seeking to rebuild an old New Mexico town in 40 days that a generation in the past could not make work.
If you understand the number “40” and its biblical significance, then you can see some of the truths that God is seeking to speak to those who ears to hear. For example:
40 = the number of a generation
40 = the number of testing & proving
40 = the product of 5 and 8, and points to the action of grace (5), leading to and ending in revival and renewal (8). The number 40 also relates to enlarged dominion, or to renewed or extended dominion by virtue of its factors 4 and 10.
So what? Is not God trying to say to the world that there has been a time of His grace upon this nation? Has God not tested a generation of beleivers? Is not God saying to an emerging generation to take their place, irregardless of their age, and be the revival that is coming? What the previous generations could not do, God is awakening a generation of beleivers who know their God and will do great exploits for His Kingdom! Why will fully-alive beleivers in JESUS make it work? Because they realize that the battle really does belong to the Lord and it is only by His power and might that they will overcome. “Awake, awake O sleeper!”
I hear God extending a call to all of His kids to AWAKE, ARISE and ALIGN themselves with others who will be the vessels to ADVANCE God’s Glory and establish His Kingdom here “on earth as it is in heaven.” Will the real JESUS’ followers please stand up? It is time to take your place! Rise up and take off the grave clothes.
By the way, those who respond to His call will be the Pioneers of a new and living way. They will be the Trail Blazers for the Kingdom of our God. This emerging generation is not a biological age group but the heart position of those who “know” their God. Will you be counted in that number?
AWAKE … ARISE … ALIGN to ADVANCE the Kingdom of Our God!
