I returned home from Nicaragua on Friday with a friend. Yet, not the kind of friend that you want to bring home with you. YES, you guessed it! I brought home a parasite and I have been sick ever since the plane ride. I really enjoyed the time of getting sick on the plane and in front of everyone at the TSA Baggage Check in Miami, NOT! You could say they moved me out of the public eye really fast.
It’s OK to laugh, I am. Yet, it wasn’t funny when it was happening. Due to the new government change, there are many “blackouts” in Managua that case power outages for 4-6 hours. I guess I got hold of some bad meat on the pizza on my last night’s meal there. You can only imagine the fun I’ve had. Thank God, I only ate two small pieces because it was a late night.
Anyway, I am home and doing better now that I have been able to get some medicine in me and keep some food and liquids down, FINALLY. I look forward to sharing with all of my prayer warriors and supporters what God is doing through our partnership in missions. May the LORD bless you and may He make His face to shine upon YOU!
Hope you feel better
Dear Lanny, pray that by this time you are all cleaned out and filling up in normal fashion. We have been away from commuter and home since Thurs. To Claudia Davis’ home going celebration and to vist my Aunt Jean in S. Ga and came home Sunday night and Barry’s mother was put in hospital that night and have been with her. Praise God my brother and sister in law have been here with my parents so that we could go and I can be with Barry’s mother. God is good, even in the hard times!!! Love and prayers Mary and Barry.
