Laura and I went to see a movie this past weekend.  One of the movies advertised as coming soon was "In the Name of the King".  My spirit leaped within me when I saw this title on the movie screen.  I immediately thought, "YES; this is what 2008 is all about for me!" 

As we begin 2008 together, I want to challenge each one of you to live this year with this goal in full view ... live for the GLORY of our KING - JESUS and His Great Name!  It will take courage to walk in the power of His name and for His GLORY in every situation.  However, God gives His promise to all who walk in courage.  God promises to walk with and work with, go ahead of and fight for all those who are "strong and courageous" (Deuteronomy 31:6).

The KING who is among us and whom we are fighting for is "a great and awesome God" (Deuteronomy 7:22).  Yet, without courage, we are not living; we are merely hiding.  What moves you forward is COURAGE.  COURAGE is the muscle that mobilizes your faith! 

Be encouraged with this, "Courage is not the absence of fear, it's the conquest of it!" (The Word for You Today, Dec-Feb).  I am honored that God has partnered us together with Him in His missions for 2008.  "Little by little", our KING - JESUS will "drive out our enemy before us" (Deuteronomy 7:22).
