When I was in High School, I had a job working at Plaza Pontiac preparing New cars for delivery. My boss, Charlie, had a list of cars for me to clean every day when I came in from early release during my Senior Year. Athe end of the day, he would always ask me, “Have you cleaned up all the cars, yet?” I would respond by “Yes, No or Almost.” Every time Charlie would say, “Show me, don’t tell me.” I learned something valuable from Charlie at the age of 18. Talk is cheap. Actions are the most important.
Last night I watched the VP Debate. The candidates are promising new direction, new leadership, new ideas, new experience, new hope, new hype . . . . Yada yada yada. To which I found myself shouting out loud … “Don’t just tell me, Show me. (Isn’t it crazy how some of us talk to the TV as if it can hear us … Oh, off track).
The same is true in the spiritual realm. We can talk all day about how much we think God loves us, and loves this world we live in. God Himself even talks about it, in His Word. But then, He does more.
action, but we already knew that.
these are refreshing words! at last someone speaks the truth. let’s do it!
